Description/Story: A visit back to my hometown resulted in a delightful roadside stop through the northwest suburbs of Detroit. The sign has fun scrolling typography and red hot neon claiming that there is a vacancy nearby. You just have to see what the sign is pointing to—a tiny motel of only eight rooms and a vast lawn dotted with fir trees three stories tall. I had to paint the jumbled up neon tubes catching the light of the sun.
