This is a continuation of exploring paintings from Kim’s Diner in Waco, TX. This one came about because I needed a demo artwork for a watercolor presentation in Houston. Since I wanted to demonstrate how I handle the neon signage topic and multiple textures I decided to combine my reference image with a rusted metal surface image to achieve the effect. There are times that combining imagery by sketching or by digital editing software is needed to create something more unique.
