Description/Story: This painting was inspired by the magnificent Magnolia bloom. There were many Magnolia trees near where I lived in Florida, but I wanted to put it on a large scale. I also wanted to keep the center in focus while the surrounding foreground and background slid out of focus. It was a challenge to get it right especially on such a large canvas.
