About the Workshop:
Bypass the typical still life and enter the world of beauty in decay. Commercial architecture has an interesting mix of surfaces, shapes and colors. Techniques to imitate distressed surfaces, glass, rust, and peeling paint will be demonstrated and practiced. All of the techniques can be applied to other themes from architecture to still life to botanical subjects. 
You will explore a range of techniques, adding to traditional washes and we-on-wet methods making the most of your brushes, paper, and paints.

Tangible Patterns: Painting Color, Light, & Texture
Dates: (Past) October 22, 23, 24, 2024. 3-day watercolor workshop 9-4pm Daily.

About the Workshop: For artists with a little experience to advanced experience in watercolor painting.
During this workshop we will explore a bit of color theory through the richness of color mixing and layering, using light and shadow to describe depth, and using various watercolor techniques together that Lisa uses in her paintings to describe various natural textures, surfaces, and backgrounds. We will also delve into compositional decision making and process by walking through developing a painting from start to finish.
Registered students will receive a materials list and instructions to prepare closer to the workshop dates.
A free demo will also correspond with the workshop and fall members show
