Description: This no vacancy signage comes from the Boulevard Motel in Deland, FL. I’ve done a number of paintings of this signage, but this one I waited to do in order to bring out the mirror like qualities of the neon glass. I’ve heightened the color and brought out some details in the darker areas that were not so evident in my reference photos. Sometimes these things take more thought and time to get it right because photos can only take you so far. I am pleased with the color and effects in this painting.
