This painting came from a series of decisions about the multiple reference images I have of the Moonlight Café in Titusville, FL. There are times when the only thing I can do on location is to shoot many photos of the subject meant to keep the memory of the place and what I was thinking at the time. From the references, I went in a very different direction with only a few slices of very fuzzy imagery, but just enough to get the composition and information I want.
This painting came out way better than I initially thought it would and as I look at it again, there is a cheerfulness about it. I hope you feel it too!
