Description/Story: An abandoned theater in Downtown Detroit sits quietly in the warm sunshine. This view is almost straight up through the marquis at the theater's intricate facade. Detroit had many beautiful but abandoned buildings at the time this was painted. It is a symbol of an era of pride gone by.
I loved working with this Indian Village handmade paper, which is no longer available. It has a random texture and full deckle edge on all sides creating an unusual shape.
