Description/Story: When I moved to Texas, I did not have any reference images or any ideas on how to ingrain myself to the region in my art. But I saw some interesting plant life, particularly these spiny agave plants. This one caught my eye as I thought the scalloped lines and color variations between warm and cool greens was pretty interesting. I'm hoping my debut into Texas art is worthy of someone's forever home. This painting did have some appreciation already as it's been in a regional juried exhibition.
